I’m not a chef but maybe in my past life I was because I learned about cooking in an early stage and discovered the passion for it. As a wife and a mother I enjoy cooking for them. My husband calls me the “Iron Chef” in our kitchen and my secret ingredient is I cook for LOVE. My gratification is when I give a smile after tasting the first bite or sip.
This blog started with my husbands inspiration. Everyday I try to make our dinners interesting. We love to try different cuisines in the comfort of our home and our budget. So one day my husband suggested to make my own blog instead of keeping and compiling it in my recipe book. It caught my interest because I get my recipes in all different mediums from friends sharing recipes (the old school way), Food magazines, newspapers, recipe books and Internet. I was thinking why not make my own blog, my personal food diary and post my favorite dishes with tips, suggestions and stories behind each recipe.
All my recipes are kitchen tested and very simple that anybody can make it but not too ordinary for everyday dishes. Give it a try and feel free to make it your own by giving it a twist. I believe that cooking is like traveling, it is traveling through our palate.

Hi Janis!
I have 2 picky eaters too! I have a 3 1/2 old and a 21 month old baby, the older one is coming around and understanding what mommy is cooking. They both eat quinoa…a pat in the back for me! The rule is you can’t say no unless you have tried a few bites then say no or yes is better! I checked out your site I always love the idea, cooking with family because for me family and food goes together. Thank you for stopping by and will looking forward for more post from you too and cheers to all picky eaters!
I find your blog so very well put together. I love its uncluttered look. I will definitely be back
