3 cups flour
2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 cup lukewarm water
2 tablespoon olive oil plus additional oil for bowl
cornmeal for sprinkling
Stir flour, salt and yeast with a wooden spoon in a large bowl. Add water and olive oil and stir the mixture until you have got it mixed as you can; there will still be some floury clumps. Turn mixture onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough until it is a smooth ball.
Lightly oil the mixing bowl and return dough to bowl. Turn it over so all sides are coated with oil and cover bowl with plastic wrap. Lay a dish towel over the plastic wrap and leave dough in a warm dark place for 2 hours.
Turn dough back onto the floured surface and press it gently to remove the air.
*We love pizza and husband always feels when we order pizza the toppings is not enough, which I agree. I found this simple recipe for pizza dough and this gives me an opportunity to experiment on different kinds of topping. My son loves making his own mini pizza, while I’m making ours he is also making his pizza kneading the dough and putting all the toppings the whole nine yards. TIP: I leave the dough in the oven and let it rise there. I feel it rises better and it’s the best place dark and warm just don’t forget before turning on the oven. Create your ultimate pizza and enJOY!!!
