Diamond Harvest Reserve Walnut Halves for garnish (used chopped walnut)
Preheat oven to 375. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and ground flax seed; set aside. In a large mixer bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and vanilla extract until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in 1 1/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels and chopped walnut. Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake 23 to 25 minutes.
Immediately sprinkle remaining 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels over top. Let stand until morsels become shiny and soft. Spread chocolate evenly over top. Garnish with walnut halves. When cool, chill 5-10 minutes to set chocolate. Cut into 2- x 1 -inch bars.
*Walnuts are one of my top five favorite nuts. You can cook it or eat it raw, the best part is it’s good for you. I followed everything, I just added ground flax seed and instead garnishing it walnut halves I chopped it garnish all over. I found this recipe at the back of the walnut package. Sometimes when you look closely you’ll find something good. enJOY!!!
