Cooking Black Japonica Rice


1 cup Lundberg Black Japonica
2 cups water or broth
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (optional)
salt and pepper

Combine rice, water, and butter (optional) in a pot with tight-fitting lid. Bring to boil. Stir once. Cover with lid. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 50 minutes.

Remove from heat, let it stand in covered pot for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork, salt to taste.

*This is one of the goodies I got from my Foodie Pen Pal. It’s my first time trying it, my family and I loved it. It can be eaten by itself or add some sauteed veggies and meat and it’s a complete meal. enJOY!!!
