Black Rice and Quinoa Fried Rice


2 tablespoon butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup black rice, cooked
1 cup quinoa, cooked
1 egg, scrambled
1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup carrots, minced
3 tablespoon green onion, sliced thinly for garnish
salt and pepper to taste

In a medium-high heat saute garlic with butter until aromatic. Add mushrooms cook it until the moisture evaporates and mushroom turn lightly brown. Add the rest of the ingredients until heated through. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with green onions.

*These are my two favorite grains and why not make a fried rice…who doesn’t like fried rice?! This is the ultimate comfort food and you can add sausages or bacon and it will be even perfect. enJOY!!!
