Hibiscus Tea

Hibiscus Tea

Ingredients:

handful dried Hibiscus flower
4 cups water
1-2 quarter size coin ginger
Agave nectar to taste

Boil 2 cups of water then add ginger and dried Hibiscus flower. Return to boil for 5-10 minutes. Let it steep for a few more minutes then add the rest of the water. Strain the hibiscus flower then add the agave nectar, adjusting to your taste.

IMG_9344 IMG_9332*Bernadette a very good friend of mine shared and gave me the Hibiscus flowers from Mexico. Hibiscus tea is known to bring down high blood pressure, while improving blood circulation. It even helps reduce stress levels. It contains some wonderful antioxidants required by the body, like citric acid and ascorbic acid, that aid in protecting body cells. It is  rich in Vitamin C that helps fight colds and other infections. Best to take for this time of year to boost your immune system. enJOY!!!
